Baby Boy Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Alright, I have been doing multiple postponing of my site and am really getting tired of it, so here is what I have done, seriously. Like some people who think opening a successful business is easy, I decided to stop rushing and slow down. Now, I am trying to plan out a layout right now, for the next week or two in which I will be doing and I need some input on what would be good. Like, I am going to be selling hip-hop clothes, shoes, jewelry, mixtapes, accessories, etc. and the whole shabang. :) Now, I am planning to think up a good plan, one that will be a shot for sure. I am close to ready to re-do the whole thing all over again since I am basically going to give it a new theme and everything. So here is what I am going to try and work on right now. 1) Plot a well designed template with easy navigation and simple changes to be made in the case of holidays. Such as, changing the logo. 2) Do a full search of merchant accounts and ask questions to some of the customers of the same merchant account. 3) Install and stabelize the program, adding ALL contributions first and then running multiple tests to see if they function right. 4) Begin designing the template and buttons and the whole unique layout of the site. 5) Protect the administration section of the page and setup a simple login script to fix getting into the area. 6) Seek sponsorships to the company and raise funding for purchasing inventory and future upgrades to the system. 7) Find a local storage place, since the business does not have a warehouse or nothing setup. I will be looking for a storage rental place with qualitiy insurance and adequate fire or any types of damage covering. 8) Plan for FedEx & UPS Pickups. USPS Shipping will not be a problem for me as I am getting my license, as well as the USPS post office is just a few blocks away. 9) Purchase inventory and take inventory status before posting items up. 10) Add products, giving much valuable detail and adding detailed photos of the item. 11) Integrate a chat system (most likely HCL) into the system to assist in transactions and help with customers and such. 12) Find dependable knowledged customer representatives, and testing their ability on helping a customer with a custom test. 13) Run multiple tests before releasing, seeking 5 helpers to do this *2 Week Structural Test* and checking for future updates. 14) Advertise and market the company in web statistical places, such as Endless Visitors and other varieties. 15) Begin taking orders and plan for future shop upgrades. (Some examples for our future upgrades is purchasing a dedicated server and for it to be monitored. As well as getting an upgraded SSL Certificate in Summer of 2006, just a few months away from the current one running out.) That's my whole plan for right now, I am hoping to have everything completed by Spring but I really feel I am missing out on something, and that I am forgetting something. If anybody has any idea's, please let me know immediately. Thanks.
