crimson editor

i looked at crimson home page but they dont really have anything on how to use it i want to set up to ftp so i can get files ,edit then send back changes.i changed one file for setting country for most users on create account page and decided not to make the change and when i saved file it now shows pull_down_default where it used to be empty.i went into c panel and have fixed it but using c panel i always get errors when making changes.
