Small image sizing is not working

Hi guys,

I have searched for this answer and have been unable to find it. I have my small image sizes set to 165 wide x 110 height pixels. I have 2900 images loaded that are 450 wide x 300 height pixels. This keeps them in proportion and not distorted.

That being said, I keep seeing references to the effect that if you only set one parameter in the Admin for small images that you don't need to worry about the images being in proprotion, they will be.

When I try that all my images default to the large size and my site is unusable.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and if I'm doing anything wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Al

you trying to get it to auto size so it does not look streched?

Yes exactly. But it doesn't seem to accept the parameter I set in the Admin. I just displays the image as the large image size.

im trying to do nearly the same thing, i don't think (unless you get into the code) you can resize the show size

You Can Win, But I Can't Lose.

No, I didn't know there was such a thing.

With out an image contribution you will be trying to load each thumbnail image in its actual full file size, causeing your page to not load and time out or load very very slow

This contribution uses 2 images file one for thumbnails and the other for your large images.

But you will how ever need to create your thumbnails with a photo editor.

I think I know what Im talking about.
