happydance
Hi, I've tossed around a ton of different ways to do this, and I just want to see what other people have done. I want 2 difference ways for people to view my products. 1). By Product Type 2). By Product Theme My store targets several different populations, and I want customers to be able to come in and view only the products pertaining to them. Right now I have categories set up by product type... "Cool Wearables", "Gifts, Toys & Novelties", "Stationary", and "Wholesale", and then with sub-categories under that. But I need a secondary option to view my products by what I'll call the "Theme".... "Gymnastics", "Dance", "Cheerleading", "Patriotic", "Spiritual", etc. I tried a second set of categories and it got messy even before I finish the admin side of things. Then I though of basing it off a query from a field added in the "Products" table, but some products may be appropriate for more than one theme so I would need more than one field. Anyway - if anyone has done something like this or has an answer for me, please help! Thanks! BTW.. my site is www.myhappydance.com.
Dragonmom
Are you using the manufacturers box? Since i make all my own items, and am the only manufacturer, I turned it into a materials list instead. I use it to give details about the woods etc. Quote psst... wanna buy a wand? I was thinking of maybe copying the concept of the manufacturers box.. But then what would I do if a product fits in more than one theme?
