Upgrading older version of QTPro to QTPro V4

I have QTPro v2.1 installed and running on a stable site.

 

This was the 1st of many contribs that I installed however my client now wants some fixes done which are bugging him

 

1) When you delete an order, the attribute stock levels are not repopulated requiring a manual restocking.

 

2) Some items don't show out of stock correctly when all attribute sizes have ben sold (it only shows out of stock when the sum of all the attribute stock is purchased)

 

 

So my quuestions are:-

 

1) Does anyone know if these items would be fixed by implementing v.4

 

2) Does anyone know whether the files in QTPro v.4 differ greatly from the earlier version that I have installed and whether it would be possible to install over the top of the existing contrib.
