I spent hours seraching for hosts and web packages etc. What is best for 1 person may not be best for another. Sometimes its best to decide what you want and try to find it, rather than browsing what is out there. Some hosts have osc pre loaded so saves you having to install it. Paul Regards Paul
ozcsys Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Well since you seem to be having problems getting osC up and running for yourself You may want to rethink the offering to others idea. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

I would try to upload and install osC myself if I were you. Even though it is more difficult than having your host do it you will learn by the experience and it will help you later on. My post above was to a commercial post that seems to have been removed already. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? Make sure you get good and tested advice and it will save you time and money. For help with this just lurk on forums such as www.williecrawford.com or www.ablake.net/forum/ Charles A kite flies highest AGAINST the wind ! What a ride!"
CollectorsCabin Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 FYI: I work for Lycos' Web Hosting OsC won't work on Tripod/Lycos/Angelfire We don't offer PHP or MySQL Don't ask me why, it's not my decision. Though, supposedly it's coming sometime in Q2 2005 http://www.moviesnobs.net - reel reviews, real viewers
