Im sure theres a simple answer, but Ive had a bit of a look and I cant find anything on the forums about it, so here goes: What I have done: using one of the super useful posts from here, I have changed my 'manufacturers' in the left column to a 'search by price', which is working fine What I would like to do: this is where my plan comes unstuck. after clicking the price in the left column, the results are displayed very nicely in their price brackets. However, the top right of the search results has a dropdown that says "Show: All Categories" which atm is showing my subcategories, when I want it to show just the categories. eg. its going to be a video games store when its done, so games are in genres (subcategories) under console type (categories), but the console types have the same set of genres underneath them, so when subcategories are displayed there are doubles (and when im finished putting all my data in, many more than doubles), when all i need is to be able to select "xbox", and have all the xbox games under $50 displayed. hope that makes sense, ive tried to describe it as best i can. even just some direction to the code where the drop down is created would be tops :) thanks all!
