angiefix Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I have successfully installed the osCommerce E-Commerce engine onto my site but I am having trouble editing the index.php file. Every time I go to edit, I get this error message: "Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on:" but I cannot find the option anywhere under the admin menu to set user permissions. Someone please HELP!
Pamela Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 To set your permissions you have to CHMOD them in FTP. CHMOD them to 777
