Order Management

I have been searching for a contribution that have better order handling than the one built in.

 

What Id like is a system that makes it easier to keep track of products beeing ordered and shipped.

 

For example:

Page 1: incoming orders sorted by customer name

page 2: incoming orders sorted by product name (1 order may be listed several times if it contains more than 1 item)

page 3: finished/sent orders

 

Lets say a 100 customer orders 3 random items, and I only have 2 of the items they each order in stock. I send the 2 items I have. But how am I to keep track of which items I need to ship to which customer? It would take ages to manually enter each order to look at them.

 

If I could have a page showing all the items ordered and outstanding alphabetically. I could easially check which items to send when I receive new stock.

 

Does a contribution/program like this exist?

I'm still searching for a better order management system. But so far I haven't found anything useful.

 

Just out of curiosity, how do you all keep control over your orders? I mean, the built in order manager is not very good.
