jenso Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Hi I am running OSC 2MS1 still and I like to change to OSC 2MS2. So fare so good. Besides that I have my MS1 changed a lot and it will take a lot of work to make it on MS2, the advantage would be in the future and in up to date contributions. The problem so is, when I make the change, my URL will change as well. Why? For one I use still default.php instead of index.php so all categories are no more reachable. I like to rename the folder from "catalog" to "store", when I do that all the links will not work any longer. Solution?! Is there something out that will make it possible to redirect all the links that changed to the new URL. So I will be reachable under the new URL and the old one. At least for the time until all the search engine have indexed my pages and they are in a better ranking than it is now. And all the visitors in the past have the new URL in their browser. Does someone know of anything that could do that? It would make also all future little changes much nicer. Hope you get what I am looking for and can give a respond. Thanks Rich
radders Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 You can do this with your .htaccess file. As an example: Redirect /olddirectory http://yoursite.com/newdirectory/
