RaceHut Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I have a serious problem. I have a speed shop inventory to add to my osCommerce store that is advertised to be launched February 1st. I am being faxed the product list from my supplier, and I am up to roughly 19,000 stock #'s to add - mostly repetitive - and I need a faster way. Is there a way to add items to the database manually, like in Excel, or Access offline, then import it through phpMyAdmin? Here is the website .... http://www.racehut.com/shop , on a Unix system. I will also be looking for templates that are public domain ... any tips on a download site?

Guest Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 EasyPopulate is very popular, so there's plenty of help available in this forum.

Many thanks, Mongoose
Guest Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 support forum here: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64945 you should ask your vendor to provode the data in tab delimited format or some other database format, then piece of cake to import. if by fax then you will not make your feb 1 deadline with all 19000 items
