The problem is, that I can't install OSC directly into the "httpdocs"-folder, but only in a subfolder of "httpdocs". By doing so, the shop will not be shown to a user visiting my web-adress, except the surfer adresses the specific subfolder. I would be very glad if someone could help me a bit with this problem. Which ended in OSC trying to load PHP-pages from it's plesk installation folder. I should mention that I do not have any kind of command-line access to the server hosting OSC. This means, I could by no way set any variables, run any scripts or such ... thank you for your answer :-) Matthias
Guest Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 you dont need command line access, dont know where you are getting that info. although if you want that, then i suggest getting a different host. anyway download oscommerce from http://www.oscommerce.com then extract and ftp the contents of the catalog to your root directory, then run thru the installation procedures (follow the knowledge base) and you are done.
