lsd_se
my osCommerce site was working fine for over a month. it is not live yet, because I am still uploading stock to it. suddenly today I went to my site and it looks like this: http://www.genkibooks.com/catalog/ what on earth could have happened? I haven't touched it since I last logged in. I have a backup of the site, could someone tell me which file(s) I should be checking and restoring to fix this up? thanks a lot! daryl
Guest
Here is a clue "SSL". Sound very strange, but if you examine the path to your images, for example, the logo's path is https://www.genkibooks.com/catalog/images/oscommerce.gif Note the https:// not http:// https://www.genkibooks.com/catalog/images/oscommerce.gif does not exist where http://www.genkibooks.com/catalog/images/oscommerce.gif does
Guest
appears you have changed your configure.php file, you may want to post it here without the database username, password, info

lsd_se
baddog, thanks for the advice and for checking out my files. Those lines are changed because I have contribs installed on my shop. All the contribs work fine, I'm trying to narrow down the config problem now. Where can I find out why all the images are pointing at https:// instead of http://? Is that in the configure.php file? That's because of the incorrect line 13 in admin/index.php.

Guest
umm, it says this for server info,: SSL Cert: No valid SSL on this Host does that help? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In that case you'll have to purchase a certificate, you'll also need a dedicated static ip address from your host. Static ip, if you don't have one already, can be obtain from your host. There are many companies who can provide you with SSL Certificates, you are free to choose anyone of them.
