How do you customize the "look and feel"

Hi all,

I am a newbie, I have successfully installed OSC and I think it is really great. Very easy so far and I think it has a lot of great features, easily as good, if not better, then a lot of paid for products.

My question is how can I alter and customize the catalog index page and "shopping" pages to match my website. Seems like it would be easy to change the colors and the headers and footers but I can not even figure that out.

I also do not want to OS Commerce logo on the top left of the main store page.

I am pretty good at html but PHP has me barely hanging on.

Do I need to go through every file to find the footer and headers or is there a way to do this?

THANKS,

Jac

Simple color changes can be made on your stylessheet.css (make backups)

more complicated feel can be added through contributions! on downloads on the main site

Is there any thing that tells you what all the data is in the stylesheet.css? Its hard to figure out what your actaully changing unless you change it then upload it then look at your site to see what changed!

What I do is select type (In Netscape) Right click and select "View Selection Source.

It will popup a window you'll see in " " what part of the style sheet it is..
