JM5Maui Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Hello all, I am very new to osCommerce, PHP and MySQL. I've installed all of this on my XP Pro machine. Here are the versions I'm using; osC2.2ms2, PHP 5.0.3, MySQL 4.1.9 and also am now trying MySQL 4.0.23. The problem I have is when osC tries to connect to the database to import during the new installation, it seems to hang and I only get a part of the webpage back after entering all the info and clicking Continue. The install goes to the next page, but all I see is New Installation and Database Import right under that. The rest of the screen is blank. I am very new to all of this and I'm sure this is just a stupid configuration error that I'm missing, I just can't seem to find it. any ideas? Thank you very much for you help. Joe
jccw Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Did you solve it yet, jm5maui? Coz I have the same problem too :(
alanos Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Did you solve it yet, jm5maui? Coz I have the same problem too :( You can manually import your database, and also manually edit both configure.php file to make it working. At least it worked for me. Good luck Alanos
postma Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 You must have these things in order: in php.ini uncomment the php_mysql.dll line also in php.ini make sure the extensions directory is pointing to the dircetory where your extensions are located not to ./ Then you will need the actual file in that directory. After this it should work. I however, am having a different problem. I can't get any products to import nor load.
