Guest Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Folks, A few days ago, I set up my server to redirect 404 errors to a nice all_products page using .htaccess. Everything works fine under IE. I then started to notice a couple of Guests (with whos_online) coming through the site and triggering the 404 page repeatedly. Just now, I installed FireFox. I surfed around the catalog a little bit, checked whos_online and see that it's filled with my IP Address hitting the 404 all_products page. Firefox surfed the catlog with no problems but whos_online reported that Firefox hit the 404 page repeatedly. I never once saw the 404 page in Firefox. Any ideas? Why is Firefox resulting in whos_online storing 404 page hits? Thanks, Ed
peterr Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Hi, Check your web server logs, that's the only way you will really know what (URI) caused the 404. Peter
