Cannot insert new products into DB from admin

Hi, lately I've been experiencing an 'on and off' success rate in add new products to my inventory from the Admin page. The status bar on the browser will move slowly... and most of the time it will end up with a connection lost. But after some time when I try again I can insert the new items again! Then after successfully added some new items, I can't insert again. This is pretty annoying as I cannot finish my work soon enough...

 

Anyone experience this problem before? any idea what happened? Has it got to do with my sessions?
