Would you like to stop losing PayPal transactions? See all Admin links on the main Admin menu? Want to use Coupons and easily run seasonal specials Backup even the largest database with ease, and Change templates with just a click! Would you like to stop losing PayPal transactions? this is the bit that got me worried. Does paypal have known problems then? if so what are they? when they say it 'loses' paypal transactions what do they mean?
Jack_mcs Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 It sounds like you were looking at one of the fork sites and they were mentioning the basic problems with an oscommerce stock site. The PayPal module that comes installed has problems. Install the PayPAl IPN moducle and they go away. The new contribution takes about five minutes to install - just no reason no to use it if you are going to use PayPal. ♥Vger Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Yes, I've installed some of these 'loaded' versions of osCommerce. Some of them actually boast 30-40 pre-installed contributions. Sounds great doesn't it? Until something goes wrong - and then you've got more chance of finding a needle in a haystack than you have of finding which contributin is conflicting with which other contribution and causing the problem. I've also found that there's no point in going to their forums for an answer - lots of questions - nobody answering them. Which is why people end up coming here for advice. Vger
