How to remove 'New Products Infobox'

I would like to keep the new products infobox on the index welcome screen, but remove it from the categories or subcategories pages - can someone give me some insight on what file has the lines I need to comment out?

should be found in index.php try this:

 

if ($cPath == Null)
{

 line call

}
