I've been trying all morning to figure some things out, as a newbie i find it very hard to get answers... i've looked for tutorials, looked on this forum and other forums to no avail... i feel bad asking so many questions but at this point i really have no choice.

 

1 - shipping modules. My business involves shipping cds, records, t shirts etc all over the world. I'd like to set 2 zones. One for the US and canada, and the other for the rest of the world. Also, for international orders, I'd like to give an option of fast or slow shipping with diff prices.

 

I was not able to add more zones in zone shipping. Is Zone shipping even the best way to do what i want?

 

2. I'm having problems editing files. Say for instance the shipping.php in the english language folder. I'd like to have it say a bunch of stuff, but for some reason, when I add in more than 1 paragraph, i get errors. What could cause this?

the oscommerce wiki site has nothing on shipping at all...

before you freak out too badly, use the advanced search feature here. I had to play around with it for a while, the forum search is not terribly intuitive, but i was able to get a lot more info out of the advanced search than the basic.

Hey Vger... yeah, i am trying to install the additional shipping options for zones contribution, (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1752)

 

and what happens is, im not getting more than one shipping method per zone. Also, the instructions state this mod should only have 2 zones, but mine has 3. Any ideas?
