interweb Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/interweb/public_html/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. How do i get rid of that error? Lora Grogan
interweb Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 where is the CHMOD the file? Lora Grogan
Guest Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 oh boy... First, FTP into the server with your favorite FTP client. Go to the includes directory and find configure.php. Right click on it and choose properties or CHMOD. Change it so that the only one with write permissions is the owner. Bobby
Guest Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I use smartftp.com for an ftp program. A couple of the tutorials and you will be on your way! In both the catalog/admin/includes and the catalog/includes folder are the 2 configure files. You have to change the permissions on these 2 files to 777 to install the store and then change them back again to 644 to remove the error message at the top of the catalog page. In the ftp program you would find these configure.php files in the folders above, right click on the file, and you will see CHMOD or similar. Left click on CHMOD and set the permissions to 644. Hope this helps!
