Can't delete main catagory's

I got a very strange problem.

 

On my own server, everything is ok, So i called a hosting company, installed OSc

I try to delete the standard main catagory's but, every-time the are back,

 

it won't be deleted.. i don;'t see any error or something... very strange

 

Is this a security issue (that's what i think) i have try;t to search on this forum, but found 1 article with solution that there was a virus.. blaaaaat....

 

please help me...

It sound like the file is set to read only on your host.

You need to reset it to so you can change it.

( WARNING )

I think I know what Im talking about.

I changed every directory and files to mod 777 rights, (everyone has all rights) but it won't help, it's very strange because it works great at my own server... and not @ the hosting company....

 

maybe rights @ database?

i'm get totaly crazy for this pshyco problem........

 

Is this not doining with the file rights, that's the only thing i can think of...

because when i give it all rights, i get a message of the webhosting company...

have you checked that the database info etc is correct in admin/includes/configure.php and in catalog/includes/configure.php?

 

Also, if you've installed any contributions that modify this file at all, you may need to check the code is still in there after installing on the new server.

Yes, that's correct.... i had contact with the webhosting company, the guy didn't also get it.. what was wrong...

 

what i see is if i gave the admin/categories.php for groups and user rights to write... than i get an 500 internal server error when i get back to the catalog..
