If you're using Cpanel X, go to File Manager, click on a filename (not the icon) and on the right hand side you can change the permission.

This is what my controls looks kike?

I don't see any #'s to change.

Are you sure ? It is extremely unlikely you actually need to set permissions to 777 !

 

Unless you want to wave a red flag at every hacker on the net that is :-)
