Fatal error when switching languages

I'm getting this error when i click on any language icon (to switch languages).

 

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/httpd/vhosts/compucentropr.com/httpsdocs/shop/includes/application_top.php on line 314

 

 

This is the content of line 314

 

$navigation->add_current_page();

 

It has to do with something about navigation history

 

What is this line for? for the meantime I ereased the line and the error went away.

But ofcourse now I'm worried if the lack of that line is going to affect the program or the site.

 

Any advise?
