Redirect Index Issue

I am trying to make oscommerce pro the home www.http://www.hokuspokusliquor.com/catalog/index.php is where it is now - I of course need to have www.hokuspokusliquor.com have the osc store. So here is what I did and its not working:

<html>

<head>

<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT="0; URL=www.hokuspukusliquor.com/catalog/index.phpm"> </head> <body> <p>Our page has moved. If you are not automatically forwarded, please click <a href=www.hokuspokusliquor.com>here</a> </body></html>

I have tried it both ways - & I read that search engines are not fond of redirects, I will go ahead and redirect it for the time being if you show me how, but for the near future will it be too much to have it the root somehow or for lack of better words get rid of a redirect?

Thanks, W
