♥Vger Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 The 'Force Cookie Use' feature only works when you have either no ssl enabled, or when you have a full ssl certificate. It will not allow you to proceed if it is enabled on a shared ssl - as the domains do not match up. Vger

Vger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I learned the hard way that even if you have a full SSL certificate, Force Cookie Use will not work with Authorize.net. At least when I turned FCU on, I got errors (I would get payment but no order, and the customer was returned to an error page after confirming the purchase) and when I turned it off everything worked again.
♥Vger Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Force Cookie Use works fine and 'does what it says on the tin' - it replaces sessions with cookies (actually it wraps the session id in the cookie). The problem with certain payment processors is that your site MUST generate a session id of its own to send to the payment processor, or else the payment processor generates their own session id which it sends back to your site - your site doesn't recognise it - so no sale.
