ArcadieN Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Hi ! im new to oscommerce so i know im a bit newbee to this ,but is there a way to have osCommerce working without the order system i mean , only as catalog with prices , but without the buying part ive been fighting for about 2 or 3 weeks now :blink: and im getting really desesperated :'( some1 could help me telling me how to remove it ? , remove it correctly , i dont like the trick of price = 0 , then the "buy" button or "add to cart" goes off and ive allready tried that but i need the price in the catalog thnx in advanced Greetings :rolleyes: Arcadien :rolleyes:

Applied Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 IT shoul dbe very easy to use OSc without a shopping cart and orders. The easiest way is to simply comment out all information that could lead to something being added to a cart or check out. Off the top of my head it doesn't seem like a lot to comment out. Basically the ifno boxes like the cart and best sellers, comment out the reviews and add to cart button, then the header at the top. The info boxes will be in the right and left column files and the add to cart and review buttons in product info.

With your site, is that what you did (comment out all the code relating to add to cart?). How many pages do I need to go through to comment out the cart code? How did you do yours, because I want something similar to yours. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
