Search does not work!!!

When trying to search in my secondary language (hebrew), the search fails to return any results.

 

The interesting facts:

 

1) Search works for the primary language (english)

2) Search works for single characters

3) If i echo the query, then copy it and paste it directly into mysql, i do get results

 

Any ideas?
