how do i open the store from www.mydomain.com...

i have tried searching but im not sure if im searching for the right things.

 

i want my os commerce store to open from www.mydomain.com and not http://mydomain/v-web/ecommerce/os/catalog/index.php

 

how do i go about redirecting this or changing the settings to make this happen.

I'd suggest you put the site in the root folder. i.e. have the contents of the catalog folder and all its subfolders in public_html. Not sure why your site is in the folder you say!!!!

 

It is possible to redirect but never tried so maybe someone else could advise you on that...mibble?
