Hi Everyone.

This is my first time using a shopping cart system, i've loaded up osc easily and am very impressed with it.

I have a merchant account with a bank and an EFTPOS terminal and I wish to use this to process credit card purchases.

The problem i'm having is that osc wont accept any card numbers other then the:

"Credit Card Test"

CC#: 4111111111111111

Expiry: Any

How do I "modify the credit card module" (I assume this is what i'm trying to do) to accept any number, which I will retrieve from the database and process manualy with my eftpos terminal.

Thanks in advance!

I just did some checking and I think this is what you are asking. when you set the credit card module to true that is all you need to do when your customer checks out they will come to the accepted payments page which will give the a box to enter the cc# in. I don't use the module but I assume it will give you the numbers on your orders recieved page. Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply Drew.

I have set the module to true and it is working ok.

The problem I am having is that if any credit card number is entered other than 4111 1111 1111 1111 it returns the following error at the top of the next page:

Credit Card Error!

The credit card number entered is invalid.<br>Please check the number and try again.

Yes it appears as though I can.

However, I still can not work out how to get the module to accept cards with a number other then 4111 1111 1111 1111

Any suggestions?

I've just started to work a little bit with osCommerce and I noticed the same thing.

Maybe if more of us post here that we're having this problem, someone that knows how to fix it will speak up. :-)

Okay, I don't know what I did right.

I created a new test account. I entered the 4111 test data and got the error message. On the "re-enter your card number" page I entered my REAL Visa account number. Since then the module will now take any REAL Visa or MC number, including debit cards.

It will not accept a non-sensical number like:

3123 1234 1234 1234

I tried it with a MasterCard, Visa, and several check cards. It will still accept the 4111 number though.
