Paypal AUD - Rumour or Real

I read the other day that with Paypal you can now spend & accept payments in AUD. I was wondering if there is a module contribution or update?? that includes this new addition. Or if perhaps anyone could tell me what to do to update my paypal module to have a radio button for AUD so I can have my paypal store in AUD. thanx heaps

Ebay Australia made the announcement the paypal will now accept AUD dollars. However, no changes in the paypal system can be seen yet..

 

This is really important to me too, now I use paymate to handle my AUD cc transactions, cant wait to switch over to paypal

I just made my first purchase in AUD today. This wasn't using webaccept, just the ordinary payment service. I notice that only some parts of the Paypal website admit that they accept AUD. Other places it lists only the other currencies.

I have the ability to add AUD should I want to. It's in the Currency Screens...

 

 

 

I am unsure if any of the existing Paypal Contribs can deal with AUD though...

Im my PayPal account, I already open the AUD balance so that it can accept AUD. The next step is go to oscommerce Admin --> Payment --> PayPal and choose selected currency instead of USD only. After that, I test it in my site, however, I still find that it only accept USD only at the moment. I am not sure whether PayPal still not ready OR we need to update the PayPal module to accept AUD... Any expertise can help please.

You must have a customer that makes a purchase with paypal in AUD before it switches to AUD as your default. thats the way I understand?

This is something that should have been supplied to Australian users long ago.!! :thumbsup:

Yep - would be a godsend for one of these contributions. Paypal IPN for AUD dollars.

 

Plus it would be great to have PAYPAL Subscription and Membership support for the My Account Page. Unless there is already a contribution that does that?

When I did the testing, I use English as my default language and AUD as the default currency. However, it still convert it to USD when it jump to PayPal ...
