hfreedman Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Hi, I now have Xampp running (Apache Server, MySQL). I have copied the catalogue folder to local host. When I browse to the catalogue it allows me to perform the installation of a new online store. The next page of the installation is prompting me for the Database Server (localhost), a Username (no idea), a Password (no idea), a database name (oscommerce..perhaps). It won't allow me to connect to the database with an error of "access denied". Where do I find an appropriate user name and password? What do I use for the database name? A little help here please. Guest Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 in the knowledge base, there are listed pre requisites, which includes apache or iis, mysql and php. you need to create a database prior to doing the installation. look in the documentation for xampp on how to create a database
