Guest Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Hello I just got a new fast server and it is fast even the sql is fast. now I setup the oscommerce 2.2 M2 on my server did it from the pre-installed program area from the server. and I checked the page links thats was there as default and it seem it was working till the last thing I did was change the settings in the session area from user agent on and the rest of them on too all but the SSL was off ! okay " so now after that I checked the page links again and I got this error messege below the pages Error! Unable to determine the page link! the only thing that dont show the error is front page and contact and privacy ! the rest do so that error. so what I did after that was delete the default catagories and setup one new catagorie called test . well i check the catagoriie for that and the links and I got the error messege again Error! Unable to determine the page link! so now I am wondering were the heck this error messege is comming from ? well I see the footer is not showing up on the shop when i go to that link. the front page has the footer.php and the privacy as well. so does any one know how I can fix this in the oscommerce shopping cart ? please let me know what I can do to repair this. I need help on repair this oscommerce to get working correctely . so i can see how good it runs on a fast server. and if it does run good on a fast server then I buy a professional template well thanks and I hope some one replies to my need for help ?
Guest Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 why not download oscommerce from here, upload it to the server, then run the install again. then you have eliminated the variable that your host has a hosed version of oscommerce installed. and what do you mean by a fast server? i would be that the majority of the web servers out there are pentium III servers and a good majority of those are celerons.
