Help with international and domestic shipping

Hi Everyone

Please Help!!!

Up until recently many of our sales have come from local australian addresses (we are an australian business) Over the new year we received an international order from portugal but oscommerce did not recognise it as an international order and only charged local domestic shipping prices. I have table rate installed for domestic shipping based on weight and zone set for international.

I have set up a test account for an international address and when I check out I am given an option of table rate of $4.95 (which is for australian domestic customers only) or $15.00 (which is our international shipping cost)

How do I get oscommerce to recognise a domestic order as opposed to an international one asap before all my profits are lost to international posting charges!!!!

Thanks in advance

You have to set it up in the tax zones and use one for aust orders only and flat rate for everyone else. I just did it last night, then corrupted my files, and have to do it again today. But once you set up a zone called say "all other" you have to go into that zone and create subzones for all the countries that you want to ship to. The only way I have been able to figure it out is to use 2 differnt shipping methods. Right now I have it set for 1 US only and 1 for Canada. When canadians place and order it only brings up UPS and when a US order is placed it only brings up my table rate.

If it was easy, anyone could do it!
