Product Options - On All Items

I searched "product atributes" as well as "product options" but could not find anything related to what I need to do.

 

Basically, I have close to 500 products, and they are all available on both VHS & DVD.

 

I've already gone ahead and added the attributes, and options for these two things, but I was wondering if there is a way to set the attribute to all items? I've gone thru maybe 20 or so and it is tedious, espescially when you have this many products.

 

Also is there a way to change the attribute options to radio buttons (I did not search that, just thought of it).

 

The site is not live to the public, and the material may be offensive so I cannot post a link.

 

Any info will be appreciated, as I am illiterate to writing any form of programming, or code. But I do know how to follow directions.

Seach the contributions for attributes copier sorter. Works great!

For what you want to do I would suggest both Attribute Sorter/copier and Option type feature (so you can make radio buttons.)

Ok - done adding v5, now the question is, I do not see anywhere to add the current items attributes to the current catergories items? Any help? Thanks in advance - Phil

ok if you go to admin/catalog/products

 

you should see your different categories listed. If you select on and look to the right hand side (toward the bottom of the information on that side) you "should" see some thing like this: Copy Product Attributes to

ALL products in Category: your selected category. with a copy to button below it.

 

if you click on this and then selecte the product id (should be able to look it up while on this screen) you can then copy the attributes from one product to an entire category.
