matcollins Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 Hi all, Relatively new to all this but getting on fine. Have a problem with the cart calculating shipping. Basically, as long as the customer chooses multiples of one item then the shipping is calculated correctly, add a different item to the cart and it'll either do this: This is currently the only shipping method available to use on this order. Royal Mail Registered Sorry, this shipping option is not available for this order or give the correct postage cost. It seems to be random!! I'm using OSC 2.2 MS2 with the following contribs: Oscommerce Paypal IPN Nochex APC UK Postal Rates (Std + Rec Del) by Phil Townsend with ammended zones for my own use. All the mail is sent out by 1st class recorded delivery in the UK and International Signed for everywhere else. From what I can gather, it seems there is some incompatibility between the UK Postal rates contrib and the way oscom calculates shipping. Or oscomm just isn't adding up all the weights. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this as I'm well and truly stuck! My shipping table consists of 4 zones: 1 UK 2 Europe 3 World Zone 1 4 World Zone 2 They seem to work fine as I can order 1 item whatever my location is and it correctly calculates the weight. Right now I have 4 items in my cart that don't have any options attached to them and it calculates the shipping fine. Some items will work fine and others will give me This is currently the only shipping method available to use on this order. Royal Mail Registered Sorry, this shipping option is not available for this order Doesn't matter if they have options attached or not. Please Help oh wise ones Matt

matcollins Posted January 7, 2005 Author Posted January 7, 2005 Finally got it working... I hope!! Had to ditch the original contrib I used and opt for another. I used this one: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ons,1874/page,8 and must say, it's worked perfectly.
