Steak Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 Hi, My host says I can't download my present shopping cart from their server. Is this correct? I'd really like to make changes locally and ftp the updates. At present I have to go to the control panel ( major inconvenience). Please help. Carl

Do you have ftp access to your site? The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

The shopping cart is an addendum to my main site which I uploaded with dreamweaver. They say it is above my public_html files and I just don't get it.

If you are going to work on your store you need to have ftp access to the files, if for some reason your hosting company is not allowing this then you need to rethink your hosting situation. Guest Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 If that's the case I would seriously consider switching providers. Normally you shouldn't have access to root, but should at least have access to user 'home' directory above your httpdocs. When you FTP to your domain if you're only seeing web docs folder you might be under some kind of reseller's plan. Hi, My host says I can't download my present shopping cart from their server.
