I get this error message after installing the mod:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: read_cache() in /home/content/j/s/m/jsmith1/html/test/includes/classes/url_rewrite.php on line 228

Seems to do something with the .htaccess?

New Error I'm getting:

Error! Unable to determine the page link!

When I disable SEF it works, but in the install it says to enable it, thats when the problems start.

Hi,

I've just had a go at this and have got the following error...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_setcookie() in /usr/home/u1146/domains/copybits.co.uk/public_html/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 172

Any idea what this means, I had a quick look in the forum but there are so many posts that it's confusing.

All help gratefully received as the site is now totally broken :(

Many thanks

Jo

I have made new installation. osc + header tag seo all well works (changes title and meta Correctly at all pages)

after has added Search Engine Friendly URL v1.13, has changed under the instruction files: catalog/.htaccess

catalog/index.php

catalog/includes/application_top.php

catalog/includes/boxes/manufacturers.php

catalog/includes/classes/url_rewrite.php

catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php

admin/includes/functions/general.php

there is one file: catalog/includes/functions/html_output.php , Before its change title and meta work well, but do not change urls, after change of a file : catalog/includes/functions/html_output.php , urls are displayed well (beautiful), and titls and meta on pages of the goods such as on the main page??????

Here changes in this file:

catalog/includes/functions/html_output.php

=====================================

Look for this at line 69

-------------------------------------

return $link;

}

////

// The HTML image wrapper function

Add this before <-- Notice it says BEFORE

-------------------------------------

// SEF BEGIN

$url_rewrite = new url_rewrite;

$link = $url_rewrite->transform_url($link);

// SEF END

After these changes title and meta on pages of the goods from the main page?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get this contribution working, I have installed it all fine but when I got to the index page it gives me an internal 500 error.

I am assuming this is to do with the .htaccess file. I am trying this locally first using PHP 5, MySQL 4, Apache 2.2 in a Windows environment. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Would appreciate it if anyone could help.

James

I am having issues with your Search Engine Friendly URL Mod.

Host Information:

  • Host Installed PHP 4.3
  • Host installed MySQL Server 5.0 Database
  • Linux Operating System
  • Apatche Web Server

OSCommerce Information:

  • This is a New install of OSCommerce 2.2rc2a with no other mods included in the install.
  • Installed the Search Engine Friendly URL 1.13 released March 16th of 2008, copied right into my catalog folder overwriting all existing files.
  • The Cache is set to true.
  • Use Search-Engine Safe URLs is set to true.
  • Force Cookie Use is set to true.
  • Cookie Domain is set to proper domain "www.mydomain.com" where mydomain is my actual URL without the http://

Problems I am finding:

  • Under Each page in the catalog I am getting a:

Error!

Unable to determine the page link!
  • and the page no longer shows the footer information or the banners.

  • When I use the catagories box:

  1. Clicking on a catagorie with sub catagories works fine, catagory comes up properly in the URL corectly listed for the SEFurl, shows all sub catagories as well as items in the sub caragory.

  2. Clicking on a Subcatagorie with items in it I get a "lets see what we get here" and nothing comes up in the page, center is blank and no inventory items will show up.

Anyone know how this can be fixed or if there is a fix for this.

-Tony

Ok, I found a mod for what i was looking for on the header tags controller contributions page - however my links are all wacked out as far as the categories are concerned (it gives you incorrect sub categories) and it doesn't show the category's title in my browser.
