Guest Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Do they have to make people login to order or is there a way to bypass this?

Guest Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 From research ive found the login bit puts people off, could they not get the option to do like a quick checkout with no signup required?
Flyer5 Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 ah, but from research I have found the majority of people put off by registering are fraudsters! Most "honest" people dont object to registering, our online sales are booming and have blown us away since we launched the catalog on November 1st 2004. I installed a mod to capture abandoned carts and there are only a couple abandoned from the point where the customer has to register. We use VbV and mastercard secured and by forcing registeration, touchwood we have not been caught by fraud. (although the registration isnt solely responsible for reducing fraud) We have rejected a few orders that were clearly fraudulent tho'. SunnyWales Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 I'm so naive - I hadn't even thought about fraud! Bless! Anyway, I was aware about the abandoned baskets mod. I'll search the contributions for it. Thanks for that. Wendy Wendy Go on spread some sunshine!
Guest Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 I didnt think about fraud, maybe ur right it would be best if they setup an account. might deter fraudsters.
