How to use .swf (flash) instead of pictures

Ok, heres a good question for the all developers and backend guys (oooeerr)

BTW, firstly may i say, cracking management system and perfect for our needs running a small record store.

Ok, in the admin, adding products you can link images to each product, that's great but i want to take that a step further as we wanted to have mp3 samples for each track but without extra coding that would be not a simply thing for us to figure out right now as we have many other projects going on. So...

We have found a way to create an image in flash and join the sample together, creating a 100x80 flash .swf block with a start/stop button for each using a great app called boomer. Now what i want to be able to do is add the .swf files where the image should be. I've tried putting in the link direct to the .swf but it will not load.

I was wondering how hard it would be to get. .

a) the backend to support .swf files instead of images

B) the main display code amended to "writein" the embed code wherever a .swf was used.

Anyone?

I think this would be the simplest way of doing it, as it allows us to display an image of the record cover and a 20 sample of the track all in one. It could be very useful for other sites as well. Not sure what application but for us selling records it would work well.

Nah, i did'nt in the end find a solution but i went with a similar idea that uses flash and a streaming player and an admin interface (which is nice)

osplayerv2 it's called and the french guy that made it was very helpful in setting it up with me. i gave him a donation for his troubles, now the client can upload music samples into the admin and it links up to the product. it works very well.
