Cant Change Title, Description, keywords for pages

HI my site is theoutlettree.com i only put this in here to show you what i mean.. go to the site and you can follow what im asking

 

ok i had a webdesigner do this as i wasnt familiar with oscommerce..

 

basically this site has 3 levels to it

 

Homepage> categoriespages>productpages

 

By the way i did ask the webdesigner but she is not longer around.. so im stuck..

 

Ok.. On the homepage at the very top the META part.. oscommerce lets me give it a TITLE, description and keywords meta ( look at source code)

 

it will let me do the same for each product page.

 

but when it comes to the category pages it wont.. SO i have the same title, description and keywords from the homepage on all the category pages..

 

to see what i mean.. arrive at thehomepage.. look at the top to see the title of the page.. now click on any link on the left the page it goes to is a catgory page and the title at the top is the same as the homepage.. now once your on that page.. click on a product and you will see the title, desctription and keywords are different

 

So whats happening is this.. my product pages are doing well in the search engines as they are setup correct but my category pages arent.. as they all have the same title as my homepage..

 

I want it that you click on say PATIO SETS on the left link.. and it goes to that category but the title at the top left corner of the browser says " patio sets " not the same as the homepages..

 

Can this be done? if so how and where in the admin?... i can find the INDEX.PHP section but dont see a section for this.. can anyone help

 

 

second question.. on the main homepage at the bottom if have

 

NEW PRODUCTS FOR JANAUARY

 

these 6 products always stay the same.. i dont want that i want to be able to change them.. and i want to have it so the price has a like a RETAIl price with a slash through it and then the sales price below..

 

can this be done .. if so how.. and where in admin.. thanks :'(

Oh last thing..

 

How can i have at the bottom of the page of my homepage.. a link that goes to say a link partners page.. without having that link through my entire site at the bottom

 

i thin my designer said.. if you put a link at the bottom it will goin the footer and then it will be on ever page.. i dont want that.. i want it on just the main home page

 

like have a link to a regular HTML page.?

I don't know how you are accomplishing the title and meta tag changes for your pages (hopefully with the Header Tags Controler) but for the catalog meta tags, you need to install the Catageory meta tag contribution.

 

For the new products, it sould like what you are looking for is either the Specials box (see admin) or the featured products contribution.

 

You can place a link in the footer and use this code

if (basename($PHP_SELF) == FILENAME_DEFAULT)

You may have to surround it with php tags depending on how you are declaring your link.
