Affraid to replace original index.php - help!

Recommended Posts

Go to your admin site and download your current Index file. Open it in Note pad and save it as Index 2 or whatever. Make your changes and upload it, being sure to rename it to Index.php

This way, if it blows up, you just FTP up the original file and, presto, you're done.

What I do is make changes in stages. Edit, upload, test.

Good luck.

Folks, my site is almost ready - but affraid to touch index.php - I've killed 2 other installations before, trying to do it.

I have a text to put on the front page.

Could someone help and make PHP out of it, or I can simply give FTP to it.
