file / directory ownership problem

Hi

 

After installing the software I can see that all the file and directory ownerships are set to the user 'plonk' and group 'plonk'

 

But I'm having ongoing problems with file write warnings.

 

I'm completely php challenged, but I'm guessing that the oscommerce software is running in a different user or group that the files were created under?

 

Where do I look to see what user the software is authenicating with?

I'm assuming that I will be able to change a setting to get this thing using the correct user?

that type of authentication is how you rhost decides, which i am assuming is the account name they gave you for your site.

that isnt the problem.

 

you need to be able to change the file permissions for installation.

start with the knowledge base and get to know it thouroughlyl
