I just wondered if anyone has heard or developed an add on that will allow oscommerce to work differently. So that instead of a shop it can be used for product enquiry. This would be for more expensive items or items where alot more information would need to be provided. It would then allow a customer to come along and select a group of products that are of interest to them, put a note with their enquiry. The store owner could then contact them with prices or more information.

 

This would be useful for expensive machinery etc where no one would place an order there and then from an e-commerce shop. But they could enquire about a selection of machines and this would either allow the store owner to contact them using which ever form they choose.
