Limit product quantities being purchased

I have searched the forums and the contributions for this answer but, oddly enough, all the posts that deal with it have no responses. Is there no answer to this? Or is the answer so simple we (the people asking) should be ashamed that we are asking?

 

Anyhow, I'd like to limit the product quantities a buyer is able to check out.

 

If there is no known way of doing this, please someone let me know this. A simple "No way, Jose" will do.
