Collect unregistered users emails for newsletter?

Hello all,

 

I've looked at several newsletter contributions to do this:

 

allow visitors to enter their email address, and have them added to the 'newsletter' list.

 

Of all the ones I've checked out, various problems have been reported.

Have any of you used or can recommend a good, simple contrib that

will allow me to collect unregistered users emails?

try the latest in the contributions. have ytou tried to install it? just because they have been 'reported' doesnt mean they do not work, most are usually from installation procedures not followed.

Unfortunatly, the best one I can see doesn't have a real installation text file. It has one labeled "install" but it doesn't seem to give acutal directions. At this point, I still need step-by-step. I don't want to risk messing up my site right now...
