♥Chris Perkins
Hello, as you can see, this is my first post. I've been toying with osCommerce for a while now and had previously installed it successfully and added a few products to the database etc. But now, after a gap of a few months (maybe even be a year) when I go back to my catalog directory, I get this error message: --------------------------------------- Languages Error! Unable to determine the page link! ---------------------------------------- It's probably something I did when I was last updating os, but I really can't remember now and I have little programming knowledge. Can anyone help me sort this out? Thanks,
♥Chris Perkins
By the way, my admin area (/catalog/admin) seems to works perfectly.

OceanRanch
Try turning Admin->Configuration-My Store->Use Search Engine URL's to false. HTH Tom
♥Chris Perkins
Wow, thanks, and that did the trick. (perhaps I'd changed that, although I don't remember doing so) I want to ensure that when I have finished setting up the "shop" that it will be as search engine friendly as possible. I tried searching through forums and the knowkedge base, but I can't seem to find an answer to: Is osCommerce search engine (particularly google) friendly? I don't know a great deal (about anything) but are the osCommerce pages indexable? What can i do to ensure that my shop is just as se optimised as plain static html pages?
