I tried to change the admin password in cpanel but when i clicked add/modify authorized user or change password, it will show :

Allow access only to authorized users

User Modified

The user now has the password Sorry we cannot add a user without a username.

Should i delete the active user? i'm afraid that i might not be able to log in at the admin if i delete the user, unless i can create a new active user.

Any info can help.

Try adding a new user first and then once you are sure it works you can delete the old one.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

I tried to add a new user through clicking add/modify user but same thing happens, the same message comes out.

Do you know where i can add a new user other than clicking that?

You should not be having this problem adding and changing users in cpanel is pretty straight forward, you are either leaving out a step or there is a problem with your cpanel. If you want you can email me and I will give you a hand.
