itfitz Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 more help, will it ever end? my images appear to be blurry on the site but they are not in say "photoshop" any ideas? Thanks, Shawn If it was easy, anyone could do it!
Guest Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Need more information. are they squished in proportion. Where are the images located. TJ
Guest Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 If you don't have a thumbnail contribution installed it is highly recommended. It not only saves on bandwidth but also creates resampled images that are sharper. Bobby
ryanf Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 They are most likely either getting auto resized because they are not the default image sizes that your cart has set or they are not transfering right through your ftp. I would guess the first one. Go to the configuration and check the image width and height, if they dont match your image dimensions, they will get resized. You can take out one of the numbers so that it will get resized proportionally. If I was crafty, this would be a funny signature.
Guest Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Hey Chemo, which GD thumbnailer do you recommend? I am building a cart package and am going to need a good one. http://www.oscommerce.com/community?contri...gd&category=all Thanks TJ
Guest Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I use a modified version of this one: Automatic Thumbnail It's functional out of the box but I translated the error messages to English and also put some debug code in there. Now that I think about it I should upload another version :) Bobby

Guest Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 There a bunch that size. You should install an image contribution. It may help you out. TJ If you look at some of the other images, they are all different sizes, you just happen to find one that was at 100. Thanks Shawn <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

♥Vger Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Make sure that when you FTP them to your website that you do so in Binary Mode only and not ASCII. Vger
