nathan_clark80 Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 My webserver is a: Fedora Core 3, http-2.0.52 mysql-3.23 php-4.3 Selinux=disabled I get to step 7 , and the top half of the header shows the osc logo and on the left says ?new install,,, database import? and the bottom half is blank. Has anyone My web server seen this before?
nathan_clark80 Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 One more thing, I did a chmod 777 -R for the whole directory. cheers
♥Vger Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 I have seen a few posts from people using Fedora Core 3, and none of them (to my knowledge) have been able to run the install on osCommerce. Set up a blank database using phpmyadmin, then import the contents of oscommerce.sql Upload your files to your root directory, and then manually configure both configure.php files. Then see if it runs. Vger
nathan_clark80 Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 AH,, will do, thanks for the quick reply
nathan_clark80 Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 I did the install on a fresh Redhat 9 server, and am getting the same problems. Is there anything else I can try maybe?
♥Vger Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Well all my sites and my customer sites used to run on RedHat 9 before RedHat Enterprise Linux came out - so that should not be the problem. Is this a dedicated server? If so, have you got register_globals set to Off in php.ini, and is php Safe Mode set to On? Vger
nathan_clark80 Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 register_globals=On Safe Mode = Off
♥Vger Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Have you tried to install manually, as in my first post? Vger
